how to bbq ribs

1

In a relatively large container, pour the two liters of water, and add the onion and the well-chopped garlic cloves. Boil the water on medium heat.

2

When the water stars boiling, add the ribs and let them cook for 20 minutes.

3

In the meantime, prepare the homemade BBQ sauce; to do this, melt the butter in a frying pan on medium heat.

4

Then, add the onions and the finely-chopped garlic cloves, the cup of water, the vinegar, the Ketchup and English sauce, the Chili and mustard powders, the sugar, the pepper and a pinch of salt. (The salt is as desired; we use a teaspoon of it).

5

Put the lid on and cook the sauce on medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring from time to time, to avoid it drying and burning.

6

Take it off of the stove and set aside.

7

After twenty minutes of cooking the ribs, take them off of the stove and place them on a plate covered with cooking paper.

8

Pre-heat the oven to 200º C. Put the ribs on a tray and cover completely with the BBQ sauce we prepared earlier using a brush.

9

Cover them with aluminum foil and bake for 20 or 30 minutes on each side (depending on the oven).

Optional:

If you do not have a lot of time, you can use a previously-prepared BBQ sauce.

Otherwise, if you decide to make them at home, you can add a bit of smoked sauce, which gives a delicious smoky flavor.

You can choose to add smoked salt which gives a similar result as the aforementioned suggestion.
